About

We built the site we always wanted to find

The problem with every other insurance site

Every insurance comparison site on the internet follows the same playbook. They ask for your name, your email, your phone number — sometimes your address — before showing you a single number. Then come the calls. Automated systems, agents, follow-ups for weeks. You asked for a quote. You signed up for a harassment campaign.

The reason they do this is simple: they make money by selling your contact information to insurance companies. Your details are worth $15 to $80 per lead. You are not the customer. You are the product.

What we do differently

QuoteHonest does not collect your email. Does not ask for your phone number. Does not sell leads to anyone. We show you estimated rate ranges based on publicly available data, tell you which insurers operate in your state, and link you directly to them. What you do from there is entirely your business.

We cannot show you a precise quote — that requires your personal data and only the insurer can generate it. What we can show you is enough to know whether a category of insurance fits your budget before you commit to anything.

Our promise
We do not collect your name, email, or phone number
We do not sell leads to insurance companies
We do not receive commissions or referral fees from any insurer
We do not track you across the web
We make money from ads shown on this site — nothing else

How we make money

We display ads on this site through standard ad networks. Insurance is one of the highest-value advertising categories on the internet, which means we can sustain this site on ad revenue alone without needing to monetize your personal information. When you visit QuoteHonest, the only thing that happens is you see some ads. That is the entire business model.

Where our data comes from

Rate ranges are based on data published by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), state insurance commissioner offices, and publicly available rate filings. We update our data quarterly. Every provider card shows a last updated date so you know how fresh the information is.

We also track which insurers have exited specific states — a critical issue right now in California and Florida for home insurance. If a major carrier stops writing new policies in a state, we remove them from that state and explain why.

A note on precision

We show ranges, not exact quotes. A precise insurance quote requires your driving record, credit score, home construction details, medical history, and more — information only you should decide to share, and only with the insurer directly. Our ranges are honest estimates. They tell you whether something is in the right ballpark. The exact number comes from the insurer, after you decide you want to talk to them.

QuoteHonest is an independent website. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any insurance company listed on this site. All rate ranges are estimates and should not be taken as guaranteed pricing. Always verify coverage details and pricing directly with the insurer before making any decisions.
